I managed this morning to exercise myself and the dogs plus get in some obedience/rally training before going to work. Grace is finding her left finish but it is still really sloppy. She is enthusiastic just not accurate. The remainder of the Rally Novice level signs actions are coming along nicely.
Bern is working on Open exercises. Since Tracey told me to set the bar higher on Bern's retrieve he is doing better about bringing the dumbbell to me. No independent activity yet but he is getting the idea and walks more calmly with the dumbbell in his mouth. We are no longer getting the wide-scary eyed guy we used to get. He is moving much more fluidly and quickly with less pressure to keep the dumbbell in his mouth.
Grace went for her annual checkup on Saturday. Dr. Jarrell thought she was looking good. We are trying a new flea treatment for her... the 30 day version of capstar. For the price, the stuff should kill fleas on her and those around her. We will test it out and see how it works. Poor Grace is still struggling with various skin issues but they seem to be improving slowly with the nzymes treatment.
My upcoming weekend schedule has changed once again. Red Stick Ringers has switched weekends to play evening chapel with Rev Mike. I now will need to be back in BTR, showered, uniformed, and at FUMC by 5:30 PM ready to play bells. I think I will need to leave Brandon around 1:00 pm or so on Sunday. Hopefully Bern will have run his 2 runs for the day... not sure about Grace.
Woodland Ringers played our First Monday concert at FUMC today. It went well. Dan Talbot played the organ and hopes to have recorded our offerings. He is always so good at getting CDs out to us when he gets a decent recording. Looking forward to hearing the choir from a different perspective. Two bell rehearsal and one bell concert has worn me out. I'm hoping I can relax and unwind after all the counting and ringing to sleep tonight. Lately I only managed to stay asleep about six hours each night. The lack of sleep is compounding and I feel exhausted... I know I'm not thinking as well as I would like.
