Tracking... better than weave poles

Saturday morning Bern, Grace, and I met Tracey for tracking behind a local hospital. There are several nice empty fields with trees and a few ravines. This is good terrain for Sparkle to practice in. There was plenty of room to lay tracks for Bern, Grace, Sparkle, and Kazee. I was very pleased with Grace's tracking effort as we had not been tracking in a long time. Her turns are sloppy and she has to check out every piece of trash and debris within 10 feet of the track but she generally stays moving in the direction of the track. Bern's performance with typical... he is happy to search for cookies every six steps, but when the tracked turned his head came up searching for the glove to reassure him he was going in the correct direction.

Weave pole practice this morning was disappointing and frustrating. Bern refuses to attempt a set of 12 closed poles. Grace is doing better but she wants to watch me and not the poles still. I have to make it a priority to do weave training before breakfast and dinner this week if we have any hope of a Q next weekend.
