The End of an Era...
We sold the house in Baton Rouge today. It is exciting to be in a new place. On the other hand, I had made lots of great friends after 24 years in Louisiana - friends whom I miss daily. Southern Louisiana has it own unique style... very different from everywhere else. I'm missing parts of that too. Meanwhile, we are embracing our new location. Bye bye Meadowood Ranch....

Tanglewood Plantation Ruins, Pendleton, SC
After tracking we stopped by the Pendleton libary to see the ruins of Tanglewood Plantation. This is located just around the corner from the house. In fact, a large white pine fell on the library parking lot last Saturday. We heard the tree crash noise at the house quite clearly.
I can't find much about the property. There is one historical photo. The original house was built in the 1830s. It burned in 1908 and was rebuilt. It burned again in the 1970s. It was a nice today to walk around the structure. I snapped a few photos with my phone.
