I managed to make it home from work today before dark. Since the weather was nice out, we practiced weave poles. We have an AKC trial this weekend so we need to be weaving.
- Bern is continuing to improve his accuracy at speed. We walked, then trotted, and finally ran through the poles. His speed at the end of the 10 attempts or so had greatly increased. Chicken meat.... yummy... gets good weaves.
- Grace was much more consistent today. She is actually running through a 6 weave channel now. I got all the poles in one direction and then struggled to get her to come through the opposite way. After some failed attempts she was running 6 poles in both directions. For her I try to move the weave poles around the backyard so she doesn't get too fixated on any location or direction. The light bulb is coming on... she is learning what I want. Maybe by the April LCCOC show?
