Holiday Pictures and Hospice Service - A Day of Contrasts

Pre-Service Rehearsal
This morning started with CAAWS Santa pictures.  Mike and I with our 4 dogs met the Roths plus their 11 dogs early so we could minimize our wait (the weather tried hard for 80F today).  Our timing worked well with the Roth pack at the front of the line with a few folks in between us for dog swapping.  Both photos should be great.  We got good eye contact and perky ears from just about every dog in each photo.  I will post our MR photo when it comes in.  I purchased an 8 x 10 for Mom since Pete is sitting on the bench with Santa too.

Sunday afternoon the Red Stick Ringers played for the Hospice of Baton Rouge version of an All Saints Day Memorial Service (see lead photo above).  The service was held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Tara Blvd in Baton Rouge.  The sanctuary has several lovely stained glass windows in it.  I have always loved contemporary stained glass design in the style of the St. Paul windows.

We got some sad news this evening.  Russ, a friend from the BTR HAM radio club, passed away today.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family this evening.
