Ring Jump for Puppy Class

When I taught puppy class the first time, I gathered up enough "agility" equipment for a new obstacle every week (tunnel, jump, dog walk, and ring jump). We then ran a course of the equipment for graduation. Ann Wade has a small teeter with a piece of PVC zipped tied to it as a tipping axis which I also used. I now have a real agility jump that I can take to class so we aren't using the board except as a dog walk.

Next I wanted to upgrade the ring jump. My original ring jump I constructed from 1 pool noodle and 3 noodle connectors - it was functional only if someone was holding it. I saw a ring jump advertised in the J-B Wholesale Pet Supplies catalog for $64.99 with a PVC frame and a foam ring. Ahhh! I thought. I can make one for much less than $64.99. I purchased 2 pool noodles, 1 3-pack of noodle connectors, 3/4" PVC and fittings, and 4 small bungee cords. I spent ~$21 on supplies and have some 3/4" PVC tubing leftover for the next project. Because the ring is held by the bungee cords, it easily adjusts up or down. I'm anxious to try it out at class next Thursday.
