The only sign I was worried about going into the course was the halt, down, walk around dog... Grace is not a walk around me type dog. for training treat today I had brought some liver lunch meat. We got her out of the crate and found some empty floor space to practice. It didn't take her long to catch onto that trick... I lay still while you move, I get liver! As we waited to go into the ring she begins to offer behaviors to earn the rest of the snacks I have with me.... sit in front, shake hands, and now a drop so I could walk around her. I took her up on a couple of her drops just for insurance. By the time we got to that particular sign on the actual rally course, sign 5, she was settled and didn't twitch when I walked around her. YEAH for having a smart dog that understands some free shaping concepts.
Bern had the day off today. No wild card open was offered. However, after the last couple of days I'm convinced he can learn to do this. Tracey and Nedra do also and have given me some suggestions.
Kazee won the Nov B obedience class for Tracey today. Tracey was so excited. It will be fun to watch Kazee as she continues her obedience career. Several other folks also had good showings today. Khay and John earned her 1st UDX leg today (1 down, 9 to go).
