It had rained on and off during the day today but the sky in the direction of the obedience classes was clear. Tracey and I chatted on the phone and decided we should head out since the obedience trial is this weekend. Tracey was a few minutes ahead of me and pulled into the BCBS parking lot just as it started raining. I drove on to meet her. We exchanged items (food and crate undermat) and chatted for a few minutes. She has four dogs entered in the obedience trial and all show before the lunch break in each ring... she will be busy every morning.
Bern, Grace, and I came home and practiced obedience in the kitchen and healed around the downstairs on the linoleum floor. Bern hates the linoleum floor... his front paws start sliding forward after each sit and he sinks towards the floor. I'm getting better drops on his recall and he knows it is coming so he is dropping quickly. Grace actually ended up in proper heal position after a few of the left finishes this evening. The hard core obedience folks will shutter at her efforts but she is trying hard and we are having a good time. For Rally Novice I think we will be okay.
I'm now working on a project for a site in Australia with the URS office in Melbourne. Little chance of ever getting to see it in person but it will be nice to develop some URS contacts there. Who knows what other projects will come along in the future.
