Rally Sign Practice with Grace

After I walked the dogs this morning I took each one out for an obedience lesson in the offstreet parking areas in front of the house. Grace went first and worked on Novice Rally. I took the Rally rule book out with me so I could make sure we practiced all the RN moves. Grace did great on everything except finish left... she doesn't swing worth a fooey yet. I have a month to fix this so I think I can make it happen. She also needs some additional practice with me walking around on a sit or down command. No stands in Novice so we are good to go from that aspect.

Bern practiced some off lead heeling, drop on recalls, utility stand for exam, and his dumbbell retrieve (handing me the dumbbell with little, if any, walking). I'm struggling if I want to enter Bern in the obedience trial at all...he is not ready for Open since he won't retrieve. We could try for an RAE leg one day but I think he would be giving me a really put out look before we finished the second course. He is perfectly capable of doing the exercises he just doesn't see any point in the game, especially all the up and down required on the Rally Excellent courses typically. I need to make up my mind soon as the entries need to be mailed.

I got double booked on Friday of the BARK trial so it looks like I'll be at the SHPO's office in downtown BTR and not in Brandon at the agility trial. Entries have closed so I guess I'll just take my lumps... the perils of career in consulting.
